whenever we talk about Switzerland, few places which come instantly to our mind are Zurich, Geneva, Bern, Mount Titlis, Interlaken, lucern, Engelberg, Zermatt, St Moritz, Rhine falls apart, of course, from the world-famous Swiss watches, chocolates and wines.
then we planned for eating near me for Switzerland, we were very clear about two things: first, we didn't want to go to a place which would be too crowded with tourist and, secondly we wanted to stay in Serene in a place where we could just relax and experience the natural beauty of Switzerland.
after a lot of research, we finally selected Wengen for a stay in Switzerland as it is one of the most beautiful as well as a less crowded place in Switzerland and it is just 2 kilometres away from a famous Lauterbrunnen waterfall.
When Jain is a small place with a population of just about 1200 to 1300 people and one of the few car-free resort village in Europe.
it is located in the Jungfrau region. There are a few battery-operated vehicles to carry the luggage of tourist from the railway station to the hotel and apartments. We checked in at our hotel in the main market and all rooms had a beautiful view of the Alps covered with snow. With just relax at a hotel and enjoyed an evening walk in the main market of a Wengen and Vijay visited the famous church of Wengen and other nearby spots.
The next day morning we plan for schilthorn mountain range located at the elevation of 9740 feet and covered with snow from all sides, the journey to schilthorn is very thrilling and adventurous, we started from Wengen railway station at 9:00 a.m. after breakfast and reach lauternburen station in just 15 minutes.
After coming out we took a bus to the Steckelberg ( since we all had fees pass, there was no need to buy a ticket of train, buses and meaning bulk cars within a Switzerland).
We reach Steckelberg buy 9.45 and from here, it was a series of cable cars to reach a schilthorn . from Steckelberg, we went to the gimmelwald by w cable car and from there we change another cable car to reach Murren.
from, it was it another cable car to big and then the final cable car up to the schillthorn which is also the longest range of cable car. The whole journey of the cable car is very beautiful surrounded by the loss green valley at the bottom, a beautiful lake in the middle and a fully snow-capped mountain at the top.
The most famous place on a schilthorn is the 360-degree revolving restaurant (It takes 1 hour to complete the rotation) PIZ GLORIA, which was prominently featured in the 1969 James bond movie on her majesty's secret service. The revolving restaurant gives us a glorious view of a mounted Titlis, Jungfrau and Mont Blanc.
here you can order bonds famous Martini cocktail shaken not stirred apart from various other option to choose from including Indian dal chawal, and we were lucky as one of our friend treated us in this expensive restaurant. Everything in this restaurant is a tribute to James bond including the washrooms and the menu.
as we exited from the restaurant, we saw a museum dedicated to James bond known as a bond world 0:07 which including a mini theatre showing a scene from his film and behind the scene of OHMSS, posters of all James bond films, live games where you can drive the car and show the villains, James bond style.
this is a must-visit place for all bonfires. The best part was that we did not have to pay anything to reach schilthorn as we were having a valid Swiss Pass, so everything was free must a fantastic part of our trip.
the 40-minute walk from Murren to gimmelwald was like a walk in a Paradise as there was no vehicle in the whole strength and it was full of the waterfall, streams, lush green valley, beautiful purple and mustard colour flowers, a snow-capped mountain from all sides and foggy weather with the light drizzle towards the end. We also spotted meaning cows and sheep grazing in the lush green grass.
The next day we went to the Lauterbrunnen which is most famous for the Sainik view and numerous waterfall falling from the top of a user Rocky mountains. Many Hindi films songs have been shot here with the most famous Lauterbrunnen bus station.
We all proceeded to the Interlaken and Spain in the evening here.
The next morning it was drilling in Wengen.
so we all carried are umbrellas as we had planned for a trummelbach fall which is just a few kilometres away from the Lauterbrunnen. We took the train up to the Lauterbrunnen and then took the bus for trummelbach falls which are situated in a lush green valley surrounded by the mountaineers all around.
The famous scene of the film Sangam featuring Raj Kapoor, vyjhantimala and Rajendra Kumar in the backdrop of the waterfall was shot at this place. Batch for is the world only glacier waterfall that is accessible underground by leaves, pathway and galleries. Be carried the melted water of a glacier from Jungfrau mountain up to the valley at 20000 litres per second with a thundering sound. The whole area around Trumbull Bache fall is very beautiful and loss green. There is 10 floor and the leaf is up to the sixth floor and then we have to walk till the top.
