Anime Movies on Netflix

If you are the Big Fan of Anime Movies and Don't know what to watch tonight? Here are some of the anime movies on Netflix has to offer.

If you're stuck in the endless Netflix scroll, hopefully, this list will help you decide what to watch.

Occasionally Netflix brings in big directors to serve up originals that make it all the way to the Oscars.

But it's also got an abundance of smaller stories perfect for a modestly sized screen.

Fingers crossed you'll find something here that hits the spot.

1. A Whisker Away

A Whisker Away

This movie was perplexing and captivating from beginning to end. As someone who has seen all of Studio Ghibli's films, I was left feeling as though this story took great inspiration from the beloved "Cat Returns" movie.

The premise of a young, middle school girl, madly obsessed with her crush, will go to any end to make him smile. She would rather ignore the problems of her own life to focus solely on his.

As all good coming of age stories go, there are important lessons learned about believing in who you are and expressing your true emotions, rather than burying them with a smile.

2. Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution

While I think this movie was executed fairly well, that thought doesn't help me clear the cloud of nitpicks I had with this movie. For the majority of the movie, I was unable to focus on the story because of the bizarre choice to make every single shot linger for seconds too long.

I felt like no editing was done between angle transitions because it felt like so much of a buffer would happen before the next sentence was said. Otherwise, the animation was near flawless (except for the bizarre Onix at the beginning) and I enjoyed watching a great movie from my childhood remastered.

3. Godzilla: The Planet Eater

Godzilla: The Planet Eater

At last, the final chapter of the Godzilla anime trilogy was released, a very different take on the franchise that has gotten mixed feelings. In "Monster Planet" and "City on the Edge of Battle", Haruo leads humanity's return from space to a post-apocalyptic Earth to reclaim it from Godzilla's rule, a mission that brought heavy losses and unexpected revelations.

Now, in "The Planet Eater", he and his remaining forces are lost and divided. His longtime friend, Exif alien priest Metphies, gains a loyal following by proclaiming God will come to save them all. This "god", however, turns out to be Ghidorah, the 3-headed devourer of worlds.

Flavors of Youth

The film is told in three chapters, similar to that of 5 Centimeters Per Second. Chapter One, "The Rice Noodles," focuses on a young man with a nostalgic fondness for noodle soup in Beijing. Chapter Three, "Love in Shanghai", concerns a young architect regretting not confessing his true feelings to a girl he knew in his childhood.

5. Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll

Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll

This is probably the most beautifully animated anime I have ever seen, every single frame from this anime is so astonishing and gorgeous and the background music is so good I guess even a filler episode from Violet Evergarden doesn't disappoint fans

6. The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky

The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky
